LM3445 - TRIAC dimmable offline LED driver

LM3445 - TRIAC dimmable offline LED driver

"Conventional TRIAC dimmers are designed to interface to a resistive load (halogen or incandescent bulb), while today's LED driver solutions interfaced to a standard wall dimmer produce 120 Hz flicker of the LED and/or do not allow 100:1 dimming....."

TRIAC dimmable Solutions -o- WEBENCH LED Designer

Features Include

  • Application voltage range from 80 VAC to 270 VAC
  • Angle detector/decoder enables wide (100:1) full range dimming
  • Scalable output current up to and greater than 1A

New Product

LM3450/50A Phase Dimmable LED Driver. Power factor controller (PFC) with separate phase dimming decoder which interprets the phase angle and remaps it to a 500Hz PWM output. A dimmable off-line LED driver for 10-100W loads can be designed with this.

  • Over-voltage protection
  • Feedback short circuit protection
  • Analog dimming
  • Low power operation
