Quite Universal Circuit Simulator - Qucs
The Qucs GUI is well advanced and allows setting up schematics and presenting simulation results in various types of diagrams. DC, AC, S-parameter, noise and transient analysis is possible, mathematical equations and use of a subcircuit hierarchy (with parameterised subcircuits) are available. Qucs can also import existing SPICE models for use in your simulations.

Visionics - EDWinXP and DocOne EDA Tools
EDWinXP comprise of Schematic Editor, Simulators-Mixed Mode Simulator and EDSpice simulator, PCB Layout Editor-Create the PCB Layout,Fabrication Manager-generate manufacturing output files for Photoplotter, NC Drill etc.
Thermal Analyzer - check for hotspots on the board, Electromagnetic Analyzer (with Signal Integrity and Field analyzer) - check for electromagnetic effects.
Schematic Editor is the front end for any PCB design application. Schematic Editor of EDWinXP allows to capture the circuit in the form of a schematic diagram. The created circuit is in the form of a logical diagram where components are placed using the Library Browser and Library Explorer.
Layout Editor is used to design the PCB layout of a circuit. The design can be captured either in schematic capture or directly in layout editor. In the former case, the design is front annotated to the layout editor and in the latter case it is back annotated to schematic editor.

gedasymbols.org. This website is a repository for symbols, footprints and documentation that are useful to anyone using the GPL schematic creation program gschem or the GPL pcb layout program PCB. The misson of gedasymbols.org is to increase the usage of the gEDA suite of tools by distributing symbols and footprints for these programs.

gEDA - Electronic Design Automation
Currently, the gEDA project offers a mature suite of free software applications for electronics design, including schematic capture, attribute management, bill of materials (BOM) generation, netlisting into over 20 netlist formats, analog and digital simulation, and printed circuit board (PCB) layout.

gschem is the schematic capture program/tool which is part of gEDA. Its sole purpose is to facilitate the graphical input of components/circuits.
PCB is an interactive printed circuit board editor. PCB offers high end features such as an autorouter and trace optimizer which can tremendously reduce layout time. For custom requirements,
Icarus Verilog is a Verilog simulation and synthesis tool. It operates as a compiler, compiling source code written in Verilog (IEEE-1364) into some target format. For batch simulation, the compiler can generate an intermediate form called vvp assembly.
GTKWave is a fully featured GTK+ based waveform viewer. GTKWave is designed to handle many signals at once, it has three signal searching modes (Regular Expressions, Hierarchy, and Tree) as well as the ability to display data in many different formats.
