Adding More Digital I/O to your 16-Bit Experimenter Kit

16-Bit Experimenter Kit - Nuts and Volts
If you’ve been following the 16-Bit Micro Experimenter series in Nuts & Volts, you are already familiar with its solderless breadboard environment and the fully programmable 10 line I/O expansion bus that comes with the kit. The 10 lines can be assigned to be digital, analog or even connected to any of the PIC24F Microcontroller’s internal extensive peripheral set (i.e. dual UART, five CCP modules, ADC, Real time Clock Calendar, dual SPI, and dual I2C).

The Mini-Bench Supply

A small power supply with +5V, +12V, and -12V outputs is a handy thing to have around when you’re breadboarding circuits with both op-amps and digital ICs. You would want a switching regulator for efficiency, but linear regulators for low noise. Plus, it should be easy to build and relatively inexpensive.

Elektor Electronics - EE Circuits Projects

One of the oldest and reputed Electronics Magazine. construction projects, computer, technology, computing, PC technology, microcontroller. Books & CD-Roms, E-blocks, Kits & Modules.R8C pages, RFID pages.

Elektor Electronics - Hobby Circuits Projects
This was one of the Mags along with Radio Electronics that made me a better designer. Radio Electronics was my first favorite mag.

Elektor Electronics - EE Circuits Projects

They also have some of the issues for download. Some nice projects too are available with code for reference and experimenting.

Online Store and Members Area

They have a Forum for Discussion and Displaying your Completed projects. Even seek help when stuck with your project.

Then a Kits and Tools Store where you can buy the things you need to make the Electronic Projects, ..

"Once upon a time I couldn't even spell "Web Freak", and now I am one. But several people agreed, that in response to the popular demand, RAP should put out a "Web Page" with several kinds of useful information on it."
