Open Hardware Design - BitScope

BitScopes are USB or Ethernet connected PC Based Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes. This means they capture and display one, two or four analog signals and eight logic or timing signals, simultaneously. Any BitScope can be used as a Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Logic State Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer or Data Recorder.

This is a Open Schematics Design of the Early Bitscopes. This is good for learning about Scopes and Logic Analyzer. The Current Bitscopes are evolved versions are not Open Designs but are similar to this.

The problem these days is that the students are learning embedded systems and programming language. Their Component and Product Hardware learning is weak, this can only be acquired by working in companies and R&D institutions. The only other alternative is to be a Hobby DIY Enthusiast and start building things at Home or Hobby Community Gatherings.
